The March issue of Fundição e Serviços magazine is now online. In the article “Statistical design of experiments is a tool for cost and time reduction in foundries”, page 10, the authors show, based on practical examples, how statistical planning can increase profit and shorten the delivery time of fused with complex geometry. See page 18 the article “The stages of development of a motor block in FoFo vermicular”, where the combination of a new layout of the mold and the males, attending to the internal contours of the motor block, associated to the molding and vertical casting, made possible the light construction of this component in vermicular cast iron, with thin wall thickness, high strength and rigidity. And on page 26 the article “Operational behaviour of channel-type induction furnaces via simulation”, where computerized simulation is used to investigate the formation of scale in the refractory coating of induction furnaces of the channel type.
