Highlights

The April issue of “Máquinas e Metais” is online. This edition features as a special coverage, on page 32, a preview of the “Feimec 2022”, which will be held in person from May 3rd to 7th in São Paulo, gathering information about some products supplied by national and international companies in the metalworking industry that will be featured at the fair. It also features a preview of the “31st BIEMH”, on page 54, which will return to Bilbao (June 13th to 17th) in a face-to-face version and with the participation of around 900 companies, emphasizing aspects of industry 4.0. See on page 18 the article “Fracture analysis in ARBL steel sheets drilled by conventional and flow-through processes”, a study that evaluated two drilling processes: conventional and flow-through, in high-strength and low-alloy steel plates (HRBL), with a thickness of 4.25 mm. Furthermore, on page 48 the article “Hot compression of SAE1045 steel: practice versus computer simulation”, a study that describes the comparisons made in a hot compression test of a SAE1045 steel generatrix, relating the results with the computer simulation. This issue brings also the update “Ball nose cutting tools” buyers’ guide.
