Highlights
The July/August/September issue of Hydro is online. The edition highlights the special “Directory and yearbook of the Brazilian basic sanitation sector”, on page 16, bringing updated numbers of the sector and contacts of the main concessionaires and the preview of “AESabesp Technical Meeting” & “National Sanitation and Environment Exhibition - FENASAN”, on page 46, taking place from September 18th to 20th in São Paulo - the first edition of both with the support of IFAT, one of the largest international fairs in the water sector. See on page 38 the article “Ultrasonic flowmeter”, which verifies the performance of the ultrasonic hydrometer in a real situation, comparing the results obtained with previous measurements performed with mechanical hydrometers. Read on page 52, the article “Rainwater harvesting”, where a study carried out by UFScar shows that the volume of rainfall in São Paulo city in six months is superior to water demand in the city. This issue brings also the update “Drives and automation for water plants” and “Submersible pumps” buyers’ guides.
