Highlights
The October /November/December issue of “Hydro” is online. The edition highlights the special coverage “Power savings in water and wastewater treatment plants”, on page 12, showing that sanitation companies account for 3% of Brazil's total energy consumption, around 13 TWh / year, at an annual cost of R $ 5 billion. This is the second operating cost of the companies behind the workforce. See on page 22 the article “Wastewater treatment and reuse in textile industry”, research that evaluated the performance of an experimental unit combining microfiltration followed by bioreactor with membranes and nanofiltration in wastewater treatment generated in textile dyeing. Furthermore, on page 30, the article “Evaluation of natural sewage treatment system using SDM tool”, which shows that natural alternatives of sewage treatment can represent a sustainable and economical solution.
