Highlights
The May issue of Plástico Industrial is online. The article “Calculation of PET bottles barrier properties via integrated simulation”, on page 14, study on the prediction of the oxygen barrier characteristics of PET bottles that used computational simulation resources to identify permeation properties as a function of the degree of stretching. See page 30 the article “Additives that might improve the quality of recycled resin”, showing that additives such as stabilizers and compatibilizers can cause recycled materials to achieve a level of quality that enables them to compete with virgin resins. Read on page 40, in the special chapter “O plástico na embalagem” (plastics application in the package industry), the news “PET bottle replaces carton material in juice packaging”, featuring new 300 ml juice packs, replacing the 250 ml carton boxes, in order to facilitate the consumption of the drink in movement, providing greater practicality and convenience to consumers.
