Highlights

The November/December issue of “Plástico Industrial” is online. The special coverage “The colors of plastics in 2021”, on page 34, shows the opinion of manufacturers of pigments, masterbatches and dyes about which colors tend to be more popular next year, including taking into account the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on consumer behavior. See on page 26 the article “Agglomerate-free nano compounding”, showing that to meet the demands imposed on components made of plastic it is necessary to adapt their properties by incorporating additives such as nanoparticles, which are difficult to disperse. Read on page 50, in the special chapter “O plástico na embalagem” (plastics application in the package industry), the new “PET films for packaging sealing”, about a recent development that consisted of the creation of a line of films made in PET that are indicated for sealing tray-type packaging, a type of wrapping very used for packaging food supplied by e-commerce. This issue brings also the new “Grinding/micronizing services” and the update “Thermoplastic resins”, “Resin dryers” and “Dyes, pigments and masterbatches” buyers’ guides.
