The June issue of “Plástico Industrial” is online. The article “Additive manufacturing and machining in mold making with complex cooling channels”, on page 18, shows a study of how 3D metal printing can be used in the manufacture of injection molds with cooling channels arranged around the cavity geometry in order to promote more efficient cooling. See on page 30 the article “The influence of the injection pressure and the settling time on the modulus of elasticity of the PP”, where it is conferred as the strict control of parameters in the injection process can assure the quality of the final products. Read on page 44, in the special chapter “O plástico na embalagem” (plastics application in the packaging industry), the report “Method uses pulsed light in the sterilization of bottles”, on the development of a sterilization technique of containers based on the application of pulsed light, one of the most advanced solutions for decontamination of items intended for producers of food and drink.
